Although Ive always known that I am different than most girls when it comes to men and that's a good thing, I am wondering if it will eventually blow up in my face.

The beginning of my man issues spawned from a couple of sour apples Ive dated over the course of High School and College. They kind of tainted relationships for me, but in the end, I believe it has made me a more evolved and better woman when it comes to relationships. I always look at the positive aspect of things.

The way I look at things, and the way that I approach relationships (with a bit of disconnect) is how a man would approach a relationship. It prevents any type of emotional attachment, therefore establishing the power straight away. It hasn't failed me yet! Let me get into my problem...

Most guys I come across in my daily life, I become infatuated by. I don't dislike the fact that I can look at a guy, and make it my own personal goal to meet him, in the hopes of conquering my inner desires, but I have been continually let down. If I do say so myself, I have perfected my dating skills, and how I read the actions and mannerisms of how men behave and that has again, worked in my favor.

So there's this guy who Ive been eying since the beginning of this year. He frequents the same parties that I attend, and each time I make it a point to smile and converse with him. He looks like Val Kilmer. As most of you know I am obsessed with Kilmer, hes a hot piece and you know it! In lieu of getting to know this latest prospect, I offered to drive him home from a party last Saturday. He accepted. On the car ride back to his place, I sensed his nervousness so I began asking those typical ice-breaker questions. I found out that hes from Connecticuit and is a classically trianed pianist. WOWOWOWOW! My intrigue just increaded ten-fold. I love musicians, they are the best lovers, and damn sexy. Classically trained pianist! I was so happy to hear that. He is also part of a jam band...hottttttt! He asked me for my number. I have tight game.

Last night we went to see "I Love You, Man" good flick, Jason Segel you are the man of my dreams. After the movie and some jazz tunes, I went back to his place. He serenaded me on his keyboard for a good hour, this guy is incredible, he was vamping, improvising, playing me his compositions, I was gaga for him at this moment...or so I thought. Increasing my horniness, and realizing that my ultimate goal was to at least, make out with this guy, I made the first move.

I pulled him over to the bed, and began to kiss him. I'm an excellent kisser, dudes compliment me all the time. So I went 90%, he came the other 10%.

What the F was this guy doing...I mean what a rookie! It was kinda terrible. Im convinced that MAYBBEEE he made out with two people in his lifetime. After about 2 minutes, he got a little better at it, just because I was picking up his slack. He was giving me tiny pecks...then...the piece de ressistance, he slipped me the tounge. I had to hold back my laughter. He would like poke his tounge in and out of my mouth quicky, no concept at all of how to use it. Then, THEN! he started to pull my hair...he grabbed a chunk and started pulling me away, i guess hes was trying to tease me a little, that was kind of enjoyable, im into that stuff, but I knew for those few seconds of air time I would have to kiss him again and I really didnt want to. So after about the third time he pulled my hair I had to stop him. I had to intercept this catastrophy. Ruined. Everything crumbled before my very eyes...fuck the fact he looks like Val, F the fact that hes a musical genius . He cant kiss....I can only imagine how he is in bed...I bet hes TERRIBLE. And I dont do the whole virgin thing.

Another dude dissapointment.

"Their music, touches on ground that most other groups don't even know exists."

you know what really grinded my gears today?

There was this girl. She is in one of my sociology classes. This girl is in a sorority. I know this because she always wears her greek letters all the freakin time. Now im not going to generalize and say that all sorority girls have no musical taste, or individualism ( haha yea right ) but this chick, wears a face full of makeup, curls her hair almost every day and totally sucks. So as the story goes, she shows up today in class wearing a Grateful Dead sweatshirt...tye-dye and all...now im telling you, trust me on this one this broad has NO IDEA who the F The Dead is, she probably hasnt even listened to ANYTHING by them. And shes wearing their sweatshirt. The professor of the class who has EXTENSIVE musical knowledge ( I know this because we have spoke about music stuff numerous amounts of times) asks the girl "So you like The Dead?" and this dumb broad says "hehe! yea! im a hippie and I was born in the 70's" it was at that very moment that I had to hold back my vomit. This chick in her leggings and fake eye-lashes had the decency to call herself a hippie! HAHAHA and say that she was born in the 70's GAG ME! If she was so called "born in the 70's" she would be f-ing 60! And we are talking about the Grateful Dead, the band from the 60's! VOMIT. I had to hold back my emotions. I wanted to ask her to AT least name the lead guitarist, but she wouldnt have known. NOOO way.

Get a clue. And throw out that sweatshirt because you are so unworthy.

This city is afraid of me. This is the first movie that I have seen in FOREVER because I am unimpressed by Hollywood. There arent any big name actors in this movie show, besides Billy Crudup and his blue D and I liked it that way. The acting was pretty pretty good, and everyone was easy on the eyes.

Watchmen was set in an 1985 alternative America were the "Doomsday Clock" is set to five minutes to midnight paralleling the tension between the Americans and the Soviets. With Dick Nixon still in office, the formerly retired costumed superheros, must come together when one of his former colleagues is murdered, ("Comedian") the washed up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes.

Thats as far as im going with this plot synopsis. But I figured I would give you some background info.

The movie itself was pretty bad-ass, but what really grinded my gears was that I shelled out 13 buckaroonies to see this film in IMAX, and to my lack of knowledge there was maybe, maaaaaaaaaaybe 4 scenes actually shot with IMAX cameras. So basically the entire movie was stretched and out of proportion in order to accomoidate for the HUGE f-ing IMAX screen.

What surprised me the most was the movies AMAZING sountrack. WOW, I mean, WOW. My favorite use of musical "dramatic irony" was the scene where The Silk Spectre II (played by hottie Malin Akerman) and Night Owl II (played by sexy Patrick Wilson) are making love for the first time to the creepy gospel sounds of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah". It was weirdly glorious.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://alysongordon.blogspot.com/2009/03/this-city-is-afraid-of-me-ive-seen-its.html' title='This city is afraid of me. I had to stop him, not only because he was a perfect male specimen but I had to find out more about those doodads on his head. Mark, was his name and DJ equipment was his game. The phones are made by a company based out of Utah, call "SkullCandy". Pretty accurate name to describe their products.

Marky Mark piqued my interest so I checked out their website today (www.skullcandy.com) and found out that not only are the phones fashionable but also funtional and inexpensive,($79.99) they are a great alternative to the pricey Apple or Bose head phones.

Hot Mark explained to me that all the top Manhattan DJ's spinning the ones and twos are rockin' these bad boys and that they are the latest technological trend on the scene. So im assuming that the sound quality is pretty F-ing awesome. I cant wait to cop me a pair!

Bye, Bye shitty ear buds.

Oh, and by the way Marky gave me his digits.

Little diddy about myself

"Music doesn't lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music."
- Jimi Hendrix

I am a graduate of Hofstra University. I am a Public Relations major with a minor in Sociology. I have extensive Public Relations experience that I have acquired over the course of the past four years. I have worked for two non-profit PR Agencies based out of Long Island, and this past year worked in the PR department for the New York Islanders Hockey Club. I have developed many attributes through my experiences in the PR field that set me apart from many who I have worked with. My communication skills are one of my strong suits, having pitched countless amounts of stories to a variety of media outlets, writing an infinite number of press releases and constantly working with people on a daily basis helped me develop into the charismatic person I am today.

So now that all that business is out of the way let me tell you a little bit about myself. Before when I used the word charismatic, that’s the #1 word used to describe me. And it is pretty accurate. There a few things I lack, one of them isn’t having a personality. I really don’t want to leave it up to one word to describe me so let me get into the things that make me who I am. The first and most important thing that has the biggest impact on my life is music. At a very young age, I always felt the urge to gravitate towards anything involving music, not coming from a musical family I found this to be very interesting. There was an instant connection between music and I, and we’ve been together ever since.

My eclectic and extensive musical taste began to develop early on in my life. I can even remember the first cassette tapes I ever purchased:

Michael Jackson-Dangerous

Green Day- Dookie

CDs:

Led Zeppelin IV (later to obtain every single album)

Aerosmith- Get a Grip

Pink Floyd-Dark Side of the Moon (there is a good story behind that purchase)

an autographed copy of Cyndi Lauper- Seven Deadly Cyns and Then Some,

Last but certainly not least one of my all time favorites: Meat Loaf-Bat out of Hell II.

Yes I know, pretty interesting for chick but I am proud to say that this was my musical taste before the age of 11! You can be impressed now.

Not only do I listen to music almost every moment of my life, I also enjoy playing music. I started singing when I was five, I learned how to play the Trumpet in the fourth grade, and this past year taught myself to play the electric guitar. I have also taken a number of music Theory and History classes.

My ear for music is very fine-tuned. It is very common for me to be able to identify the name, and artist of a song just by hearing the first few chords, or seconds of a song. And more often then not, I can give you some background info on the band or particular artist.

A Beautiful Mind

Welcome ladies and gents to the blog of your dreams.
